The synthesis of the trisaccharide and pentasaccharide fragments of the plant xyloglucan, potential inhibitors of auxin

Abstract: Two fragments of the plant xyloglucan, pentasaccharide L-Fuc(α1-2)Gal(β1-2)-Xyl(α1-6)Glc(β1-4) Glc and trisaccharide L-Fuc(α1-2)Gal(β1-2)Xyl, the potential auxin inhibitors, have been synthesized. The structure of the oligosaccharides was proved by ²H and ¹³C NMR spectra.
