The synthesis of a plant xyloglucan fragment – the tetrasaccharide Xylα1-6Glcβ1-4(Xylα1-6)Glc and its tri- and tetrasaccharide analogues

Abstract: A fragment of the plant xyloglucan, the tetrasaccharide Xylαl-6Glcβl-4(Xylαl-6)Glc, and its tri- and tetrasaccharide analogues Glcβ1-4(Xylβ1-6)Glc and Xylβ1-6'Glcβ1-4(Xylαl-6)Glc have been synthesized. The structure of the oligosaccharides was proved by means of 1H and 13C NMR spectral data.
